Automated Warehouse – Daventry

We were delighted to be involved in the design and construction of a new distribution centre for general merchandising and dry good supplies to the ever-increasing Sainsbury’s distribution network.

The site benefited from multimodal logistics with HGV and rail terminals for the shipping of bulk quantities of goods across the UK via road and rail networks.

Consisting of a high and low bay building arrangement that utilises Mechanical Handling Equipment in the form of conveyors, high bay cranes and static racking solutions, the project was executed on a shell and fit-out basis. MBA were involved from concept to completion to ensure that all of the building services requirements were fully integrated.

The building was future-proofed for the introduction of a 4.5MW PV array installation, which is due for installation in the coming years.
