2020 in Review

2020 will forever be known as the year that changed us all. The COVID-19 outbreak is one of many events that have made 2020 a year like no other. From the ensuing public health crisis—and its toll on diverse communities, mental health, and small businesses — to the increasing urgency of climate change, to a watershed movement in racial and social justice, the year has brought more change than many could have imagined.

However 2020 did see some positive changes around the world, with reduced travel, domestically and internationally, sightings of wildlife have increased worldwide and a reduction in air pollution is giving the planet a chance to rejuvenate.

In the industrial and logistics sector, there has been some incredible innovation, designing and building some of the most sustainable buildings ever, running off 100% renewable energy, and striving to maximise the reduction of the impact on the environment around them, furthering the efforts globally to reduce the environmental impact, aiming to reduce and reverse climate change for the better.

We also learned to enjoy the simple things in life, whether it was meeting a friend for a coffee or spending more time with our families, we found that the ability to work from home provided the opportunity to make time for activities we may normally not be able to do.

No matter where in the world you live, the shared experiences of 2020 brought us together, even while we were apart.

Thank you to the NHS, School Teachers and all the other key workers who have kept the country going, we could not have done it without you.
